On February 4th, 2023 WMATA and our region celebrated the 50th anniversary of Metrobus. In this special edition of District Strong, FC2 partnered with members of the MetroNow Coalition to talk about 50 years of Metrobus – how we got where we are today, and what’s ahead for bus service. The conversation featured Randy Clarke, CEO and General Manager of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA), and Kate Mattice, Executive Director of the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC). Co-moderating the discussion was Kathy Hollinger, CEO of the Greater Washington Partnership.
